'OPM has enabled my passion for social research and for domestic and international politics to be applied in a practical way. I am primarily a qualitative researcher and believe strongly that solutions to problems and barriers to success can be identified through shared investigations with stakeholders. As a researcher, I believe it is my job to undertake the highest quality analysis of the evidence and use this to inform policy and practice.
I work with central and local government and non-governmental departments and believe policies and strategies should be designed to be sustainable and to achieve realistic goals. The goal should always be improving life for our communities. I have been working with the Preventing Violent Extremism agenda and the engagement around this agenda has been fascinating. I have also worked recently in the area of organisational efficiency and guiding the qualitiative research for a London borough's Total Place pilot. This has offered me the chance to help prepare the area and its partnerships to meet future challenges, and to improve existing service delivery at the local level.'
