As a Principal who started with Dialogue by Design back in 2011 Lucy has delivered consultation, engagement and research projects for clients across public and private sector. Her strong organisational skills make her an effective project manager, giving confidence to clients, and keeping even large scale, multi-stage projects under control.
Lucy has a particular interest and expertise in the energy sector and climate change, having worked with academics, communities and energy companies. She frequently takes the lead role in the analysis and reporting of large qualitative data sets, her strong research skills are supported by her interdisciplinary and research methods qualifications.
She has also worked on a range of public and stakeholder dialogue programmes, engaging people in constructive discussion on topics ranging from genetic medicine, to bovine TB, to healthcare systems change. Lucy is a confident and creative facilitator who is adept at bringing complex topics to life in an engaging way that empowers people to take part.
Lucy has worked extensively within the Nationally Significant Infrastructure planning framework for clients such as National Grid and is confident guiding clients through the consultation requirements of this regime. She regularly advises clients on best practice approaches to consultation, and has spoken at several conferences on the subject.
Lucy holds degrees from Cardiff University (MSc Social Science Research Methods) and the University of St Andrews (MA Sustainable Development).
