'My work at OPM has provided me with the opportunity to experience the variety of ways in which research can work towards the public good. I have gained experience in using multi-method, qualitative and quantitative research approaches; in researching important local and national policy issues; and in working with an interesting and diverse range of clients.
I particularly enjoy working on projects that enable me to speak to service-users about their needs and about where improvements can be made, such as through our work for NHS East of England on dementia training and development in the region. It feels very rewarding to know that the research will be contributing to positive change, and that key stakeholders are being given the opportunity to get involved in the issues that affect them. I also greatly enjoy OPM's public interest work, and I have taken pride in my contribution to our work on Young Researchers and to the development of a new seminar series to begin in the autumn.'
