'I enjoy writing and helping others with their writing. Good writing is clear and concise. It tells you what you need to know – without the padding. You can understand good writing on the first read. Don’t make the reader work to understand what you want to say. Think what you want to say, then say it simply. Basically, write for the reader.
Currently, I am editing the OPM e-newsletter. I am also writing several style guides for use within OPM - and believe it or not, this is something I enjoy. I edit many types of documents and have jsut completed the Annual Review. While my focus is writing and editing, I do some design work, mostly with slide presentations, charts, tables and diagrams.
I have also done a lot of marketing in my career and I love developing marketing strategies. I am keen to use the best writing and other communication channels to broaden the reach of OPM’s public interest work.'
