'I am passionate about making public services popular, well understood and highly effective in improving people's lives. I think that my career experience in town planning, housing associations, chairing a health authority and working with education, children's services and the budget holding lead professional pilots brings to life my work on governance, partnerships, commissioning and strategy.
I am currently one of the leaders of the DCSF commissioning support programme and working on the future shape of local government and public services.
