'I’m really motivated by understanding how public services can be designed with, and for, service users so that they work as well as possible, and think that approaches like behaviour change and co-production can potential play an important role in this respect. I have a particular interest in preventative policy for children and young people and crime and justice work.

Working with front-line professionals to plan, review and evaluate service delivery is incredibly motivating. I believe reflective practice is key to effective and sustainable policy, and acting as facilitator to this is very rewarding.

Evidence based practice is a enduring concern, and I enjoy contributing to this through robust qualitative research work, making the links to wider knowledge, and exploring policy implications, as we have done on recent work on financial decision making in retirement.'
