Jan Floyd-Douglass, FInstLM
Jan Floyd-Douglass has held senior leadership roles in the private sector, public and third sectors for over 25 years, and has extensive experience in successfully developing people and businesses in growth and change situations. She is also an ILM qualified Level 7 coach and mentor, and trains and supervises executive coaches.
‘Throughout my career, I have relished coaching and mentoring leaders and their teams to achieve and maintain high performance. I became a qualified leadership coach and coach trainer because I wanted to use this experience more extensively. My career has spanned 25 years and included senior corporate roles such as Head of Zurich Corporate Pensions, Executive Committee member, Barclays Private Bank and Resident Vice President, Consumer Lending, and Citibank. Similarly, I find that my time in public service roles, such as Commissioner, Women’s National Commission, and on the boards of not-for-profit organisations, has really enriched my work too.
I have been working with organisations in a coaching and/or mentoring capacity as diverse as the military, global utilities, niche UK hi-tech start-ups and international professional firms. I am also a recognised coach under the Government’s Growth Accelerator scheme. I have also really enjoyed training, tutoring, mentoring and supervising Level 5 and Level 7 leadership and executive coaches and find this work particularly fulfilling. In addition, I lecture and advise organisations on developing their female leadership capability strategies, which includes facilitating related training and coaching initiatives. In October 2013, I was invited to speak at the International Women’s Forum Leadership Foundation Fellows programme in Vancouver, partnered with Harvard Business School and INSEAD.’
