Hywel is expert in strategic understanding – particularly across issues of sustainability, local service delivery and place making.
‘While public service leaders and managers deal with ever increasing pressures on budgets and expectations, there are also opportunities – for innovations in service design and understanding and developing the co-productive contribution of citizens and, increasingly, the collective action of communities. Much of my work has concentrated on how to imagine and realise these opportunities across a wide range of sectors.
These include opportunities for local sustainability and low carbon solutions; family and children focused support services; local approaches to NEETs and worklessness; local community planning and service design. These bring together my skills and experience as an innovator, facilitator, and systems practitioner who can work with wide ranging groups – from senior politicians and managers to local people and activists – to address almost any local public issues in ways which build ownership and stepping stones for successful delivery.
Do drop me a line if you are facing a complex, challenging situation and wish to explore the opportunities it may offer.’
