Heather has a background in public sector research and evaluation.
‘I am passionate about bringing academic methods and rigour to health and social care consultancy assignments in the public and third sectors. I specialise in evaluation, insight research and the design of social marketing campaigns and public patient engagement.
I started my career in academia developing multi-perspective evaluation methodologies for complex healthcare interventions and led the evaluation of many large scale NHS IT initiatives, including the national Electronic Record Development and Implementation Project and Electronic Booking Project.
From 2005 to 2010 I was Director of Research and Evaluation in Tribal Group. During this period I led many evaluation projects for clients in the NHS and third sector, focussing on clinical outcomes, patient and practitioner experiences and satisfaction, and cost effectiveness.
I have a strong philosophy of working co-productively with patients and the public to support the delivery of high quality and effective services which fully meet their needs. I have led several large-scale public engagement programmes, including formal consultations and undertaken insight research to support the design and delivery of social marketing campaigns in many areas of public health.’
