Ellie is a graduate with a masters in International Law. She has research experience in areas including sustainable livelihoods, youth empowerment and citizen participation in local governance.
‘I am dedicated to and passionate about developing my understanding of current social and economic issues, specifically regarding the welfare and empowerment of children and young people. I strongly believe innovative research in this area can bring about intelligent policy recommendations that greatly improves public services.
I have a particular interest in youth empowerment and participation. My experience of working with young people has led me to conclude that only when a project focuses on young people as individuals with agency, rather than as victims, can sustainable progress be made. I am drawn to the work OPM does because they also value this approach.’
