'I believe it is vital that the views and ‘lived experiences’ of people using services are understood by policy-makers, commissioners and service providers, and most significantly, that they are able to deeply influence sustained service improvement. I am interested in innovative ways to support engagement between users of services, and those designing and delivering them. I am particularly excited by co-production approaches to achieving positive outcomes for individuals and communities.
I also believe passionately in the value of the third sector, and have worked in many different roles in third sector organisations, including as chief executive of a charity for older people, people with dementia and unpaid carers. I am committed to supporting the strategic development and capacity of third sector organisations, and helping them to respond effectively to complex and changing environments.'
