Breakfast Seminar: Supporting health and wellbeing boards to be the new conductors of integrated care
This free workshop offers you the opportunity to hear the learning gained from our work with over 70 health and wellbeing boards across the country and to consider how they can improve integrated care.
As health and wellbeing boards move out of the shadows to formally take on responsibility for improving health and wellbeing, the scale of the challenge is clear – increasing demands due to an ageing population and the associated rise in complex conditions, with decreasing resources available. These new partnerships, however, have a real opportunity to utilise the joint resources available to drive forward integration, better engage communities, and reduce health inequalities. During this workshop we will be exploring how health and wellbeing boards can make the most of these opportunities and how they can reach their full potential.
The ‘Health & Wellbeing Collaborative’ is a new partnership between OPM and the University of Birmingham’s Institute of Local Government Studies (INLOGOV) and Health Services Management Centre (HSMC) to encourage, support and challenge boards to achieve this potential.
- Deborah McKenzie, Director of Organisational Development at Public Health England.
- Deborah Rozansky, Health and Social Care Principal, OPM
- Catherine Staite, Director, INLOGOV
- Robin Miller, Senior Fellow, HSMC and co-editor Journal of Integrated Care
The seminar will take place on Thursday 23rd May at Body & Soul, 99 Rosebery Avenue, London, a ten minute walk from Angel from 8am (for a 8.30am start) and will be finished by 10am.
