Kai Rudat Memorial Breakfast Seminar: ‘The Role of Digital in Local Participation’
The OPM Group is an independent, employee-owned, public interest company that helps public services across all sectors to improve outcomes, performance and standards through high quality evaluation, research, engagement, and people and organisational development. We work with people who have a strong commitment to improving outcomes for organisations, communities and people who use public services.
One of the OPM Group’s former directors and leaders of the company, Kai Rudat, sadly passed away suddenly in November 2012. In his memory we have committed to a series of annual public interest seminars focussing on a subject close to Kai’s heart. Throughout his working life Kai was a powerful influence on national thinking and practice in public services, and his values and his talent had a great impact on many people.
On our panel we have representatives from local government and the voluntary and community sector who will share their experiences of the role of digital in local participation, after which the discussion will be open for questions and contributions from the audience.
Confirmed speakers for this year’s event are:
- Dr Andy Williamson, Academic, consultant, and founder of Democratise
- Cllr Peter Fleming, Leader of Sevenoaks Council
- Cllr Peter Lowe, Deputy Leader of Dudley Council
- Sam Mauger, Chief Executive of Age UK London
- Chris Martin, Operations Director of Youthnet
- Debbie Moss, Public Affairs and Policy Manager of Vinspired
Breakfast will be served from 8.30am (for a 9am start) and the seminar will be finished by 11am. If you have any special access or dietary requirements, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them.
